Elf Elise & a Scrapbook Circle Blog Hop

Welcome to the Scrapbook Circle End of Year Blog Hop! Here's a peek at the All is Bright December kit. You can see more photos by clicking HERE. It's perfect for documenting your Christmas and New Year photos or you can use it to create a December Daily. The possibilities are limitless.

The creative team at Scrapbook Circle is ending the year with a bang! We are hopping along and you can win a All Is Bright December kit from Scrapbook Circle. Each Creative Team member is giving away a kit on their blog. That's right — 12 chances to win! We are celebrating the holiday season and YOU get the gifts!

You should have come to my blog from Diana. You can also start at the Scrapbook Circle blog for more details.
I create this layout about Elf Elise and her first visit to see the girls last year.  We caught her reading her book to all her animal friends. I used most of the 4x6 and 3x4 cards from the Glitz Design Hello December collection to create the background for this page. I stitched around the heart and on the stripes; also on the arrows and around some of the cards. It's all in the details, people!
She left notes for each girl and they just thought that was THE BEST thing EVER!!! I have those and will be scrapping them soon along with photos of the girls reading the notes as well as me reading the book to them

I stitched around the number 25 since the people in my family always look forward to celebrating two special birthdays that day (my mom shares a birthday with Jesus) and of course, waiting to see what Santa brings us all! The "Fave December Moments" card can be pulled out by pulling on the Holly rhinestone to reveal the hidden journaling.

Your next stop on the hop is Adrienne! Keep hopping, leaving comments as you go, so you have up to12 chances to win the December kit from Scrapbook Circle. Good Luck!

Here's the order in case you want to visit each blog separately or get lost along the way.

Love your background with the Glitz cards! My favorite traditions are ones we started about three years ago - a North Pole breakfast to welcome December and counting down to Christmas by reading a Christmas book each night.

One of our favorite traditions is baking cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve, and then attending the candlelight service. Singing Silent Night by candlelight is probably my favorite thing. Thanks for the chance!

One of my favorite traditions has been doorbell ditching. The getting away without trying to get caught was always fun when we were little!

Love how you used the cards on a scrapbook layout. Love it!

Now that my children are adults, our traditions have changed. My daughter and I have set aside a day the last couple of years to do cookie baking. We go a little crazy that day, so fun.

Our elf got here while we were away and had decorated the tree in my daughter's room. Our favourite tradition is a birthday cake on Christmas day - because we are celebrating a most important birthday!!

Love all the patterns in your layout. Hubby makes homemade pizza on Christmas Eve. The kids (18 and 20 this year LOL ) get to open one gift. When they were little we left cookies for Santa and put out "Magic Reindeer Food" .

I forgot to tell you my tradition for Christmas. On Christmas Eve I turn off all the lights in the house and just sit with the tree lit. I'll have Christmas music on and I just enjoy the quiet.

Today, we bought a fresh Christmas tree at Costco and then stopped by McDonald's for egg nog shakes. Growing up, my husband always did that with his family, and it's fun to do it with our 23-month-old now.

Cute page, and I love your Elf Elise!
The biggest Christmas tradition my family does is to go to mass on Christmas Eve (we used to go to midnight mass before we had kids!), and then bright and early open gifts on Xmas day. This year, we'll probly be with my husband's family in OK, so we'll try the same tradition up there!

The first year I had my girls on Christmas Eve after my divorce, they insisted they wanted pizza fondue for dinner. So that began a new tradition...fondue on Christmas Eve.It's kind of nice starting a tradition in what could have been a difficult time for us!
