Spring Fling Cards

Hi everyone, I'm here today with some Spring Fling cards. You know they say April showers bring May flowers and that goes for cards too!

These cards are quick and easy to pull together and can be used for practically any occasion.  I’ll walk you through each of them individually.

This card is inspired by the dimensional sticker die cuts.  I was looking at them in the packaging while I was trying to come up with a design and I put them down for a second. Well I just happened to place them down on the card base and when I came back, I noticed that they fit perfectly on the card.  I simply cut the white and gold paper 3.5″ long x 4″ wide, 1/4″ x 4″ of the gold and then 1 1/4″ x 4″ of the blue to cover the base of the card, leaving a white border at the top and the bottom.

Then I placed the dimensional stickers on top of the white and gold dots just as they were in the package.  Next, I added the gold strip.

To complete the card, I added the blue patterned paper to the bottom and the gold hello puffy sentiment.  So easy and yet so adorable!

My 2nd card has the same background as the first – I just love the gold and white dots. This card features a patterned paper backed die cut (from Paige Evans) and another puffy sticker sentiment.

This card took a little more time and effort to create but it was worth it in my opinion.  I hadn’t planned to create something so detailed but I had an extra die cut leftover from this THIS floral wreath scrapbooking layout and it was sitting next to my desk. I noticed it as I was looking through my supplies and it happened to be a perfect fit for the card.  I used patterned paper scraps leftover from that same floral wreath layout to back my die cut.  I used anything green for the leaves and anything pink and yellow for the flowers.  I simply glued the patterned paper to the die cut in little pieces – one smaller piece for each leaf, for example. Then I just trimmed around the die cut.  You can kind of see it in some of the areas above.  The weird thing is you can see them in the photo but I don’t see it when I look at the card.  So strange.

One I had the die cut complete, I used glue to apply it to the card and used foam dots to make parts of it pop. Then I tucked in a flower under the die and applied a puffy sticker sentiment.
I hope these spring fling cards bring a smile to your face and you are able to get out and enjoy the flowers!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
xoxo, Heather
